What this policy covers
This policy covers the Suryalens website at https://suryalens.ramsurya.dev, its tools, and the requests you send to its privacy contact. It does not cover the websites you audit or sites we link to.
The data we handle

Audit history and projects are stored in your browser. When you explicitly create a public share link, a copy of that report is stored on the server for up to 7 days. The revocation token stays in this browser. Your score history keeps the newest 200 entries.
If you unsubscribe, delete an email subscription, or ask us to delete everything, we keep only a one-way hash of your email address and the name of the list so that we keep honouring your opt-out. We keep it until you ask us to remove it. Ask us at any time to remove it. If you do, we will stop honouring the opt-out for that address.
We do not send your data to AI model providers. The Copy AI prompt button copies text to your clipboard; you decide where to paste it.
Why we use it
- To run the audit you asked for. This is the service you requested.
- To limit abuse and keep the service available for everyone. This is our legitimate interest.
- To remember your choices on your device. Optional items are stored only with your consent.
- To answer a request you send us, such as a deletion or unsubscribe request.
Who receives it
Recipients of data: the data provider ([Your Data Provider Name]), hosting (Vercel), and email delivery ([Your Email Provider Name or None]), only if configured.
The pages you ask us to audit are fetched through the data provider, so the site you audit may see a request from the provider rather than from you.
We do not sell or share personal information.
Transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires safeguards for that, they apply; ask us for details.
How long we keep it
The table above gives the period for each kind of data. In short: audit results stay in server memory for up to 5 minutes; shared reports remain for up to 7 days; browser items stay on your device until you clear them; a deletion request is handled within 30 days of verification; an opt-out record is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- restrict how we use it;
- receive it in a portable form;
- object to how we use it;
- withdraw consent at any time, using Cookie settings in the footer;
- complain to your data protection supervisory authority.
If the CCPA or CPRA applies to you, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold;
- delete it;
- correct it;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither);
- not be treated differently for using these rights.

Children
Suryalens is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If we learn that a child's data was submitted, we delete it.
Security
We collect little on purpose: there are no accounts, passwords or payment details to lose. If you find a security problem, tell the privacy contact below.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. This version is dated October 13, 2026.
